Tarot Reading: Choosing Between an Old Career and a New One

    Season 02 Episode 014

The Question from Can’t Do Creative Bookkeeping:

My partner and I have been together for 9 years, and got married in 2019. I’m a bookkeeper by trade. When COVID hit, the company that I worked for closed.  My partner was able to work remotely, and I picked up some clients. We made it all work. Three years ago, we had our first child. I needed something to feed my brain, so I started learning graphic design online, and I was able to graduate with a diploma from an accredited art school. My little side hustle of pamphlets and fliers evolved into helping to build brands for small businesses.  I really enjoy the graphics work and all the creative aspects that come with it.

Our son is now old enough for daycare. I’m looking forward to going into an office where I can be around adults. The problem is that I don’t know what kind of work to look for. Should I go back to bookkeeping? Or should I find something in a marketing company?  My partner isn’t pushing for me to go back to work, so I have time to find what I want to do.  So, ladies, can your cards tell me which would be better for me overall—bookkeeping or brand-building and website design?

Tarot Reading: High School Path for the Undecided

    Season 02 Episode 013

The Question from A Parent at the High School Crossroads

A parent in a small district faces a crossroads: a specialized project-based charter school, or a traditional high school with AP classes and more flexibility? Their teen is still figuring out what they love. Two tarot readers pull cards on two aspects of this question and see what the cards have to say.

    Here is their question:

“I live in a small school district where the traditional high school model doesn’t really exist. Instead, we have three small charter high schools built around project-based learning pathways—Science, Design, and Communications—and they don’t offer A.P. classes, which I have heard is a standardized way for admissions officers to look at how a student performs.

The idea is that if a student already has a strong interest, they can dive deep into that pathway and potentially connect it to a future career or college major. That seems great for kids who know what they love.

But what about the kids who don’t know yet?

My child is still figuring things out, and choosing one of these specialized schools feels like a big commitment at age 13 or 14. The alternative would be transferring to a more traditional high school outside our district.

With college admissions becoming so competitive—even schools that used to be considered safeties now have acceptance rates around 30–35%—it makes me wonder how much the type of high school really matters.

So my question is: Is it better for a student who’s still exploring to attend a specialized project-based charter school without A.P. classes, or a traditional high school with more academic options and flexibility?”

    The Question from Fed Up

I’m looking for some advice regarding a situation in my social circle. There is a member who is well-liked by everyone and seems friendly toward others, but she constantly picks on me, often in front of the group.

I just want her to stop and show me the same respect she shows everyone else. Do you have any suggestions on the best way to handle this?

    Season 02 Episode 010 – Grandma Hippy

    The Question:

My daughter and her ex-husband live in farm country. He is ex-military and has a very fixed view of the world. My daughter is more open-minded, but is easily influenced by her community, which is fairly judgmental.

I believe that my grandchild is gay. They’re afraid to come out to their family, even me and my husband, even though they know we are a safe space.

How can the cards advise my grandchild to get the support they need?

    Season 02 Episode 008- Star-Crossed

    The Question:

Things have been changing for me recently. Some of these changes are from things I’ve expected, but some have been coming out of left field. The pages that I follow on social media have been talking about The Wood Snake shedding the last of its skin, preparing for the entrance of the Fire Horse.  Others in astrology are talking about planets arriving in signs they haven’t been in since the 1860s. All of this astrological stuff is kicking my behind to the point I want to hide in a blanket fort with my pets and some wine.

I thought that maybe if I could get some inside information, I would know when to take action and when to hide in my room.

Can your cards tell me what parts of my life are being shed (old patterns, etc)? And what new things (the good and the bad) are galloping into my life?

    The Question:

I am in an open polyamorous relationship with 2 men, my long-term partner, and a newer partner we’ll call Nick.

Recently, Nick met a woman, and he has fallen head-over-heels. At first, I was really happy for him; I thought she was making him happy. Except that she is NOT okay with Nick being polyamorous.

I feel like I have been dumped, even though he keeps saying it’s temporary. Should I continue to pursue this relationship? It breaks my heart that I have somehow become “the other woman”, even though I was here first. So, do I stick around and wait for Nick to figure things out, or do I cut my losses and start looking for a new partner?

    The Question:

I work a job that takes up all my time. I want to get away from that and run my own business. At least then, even if it takes up all my time, it’s ultimately to make my life better, not so someone else can go play golf during the week. I don’t think I’m ready to quit my job just yet. Just… do you have any advice for me about my situation?
