Card #

  1. What does the character want? This is what they believe to be their goal, and they are ready to act accordingly.
  2. What does the character need? This isn’t tied to their goal. It’s what they require to achieve the change they’ll have to make by the end of the story.
  3. What is their flaw or wound? It could be something psychological (flaw) or a hidden trauma (wound)
  4. What are the symptoms of the flaw or wound? For example, if their flaw/wound leads to abandonment issues, is the character clingy, or extremely independent?
  5. How does the character want to be seen by others?
  6. How is the character seen by others?
  7. What is the character’s overall personality trait? This card will affect how the character relates to all the other cards and the other characters in your story.
