Three spreads are represented here. The top left there are three cards in a single column, labeled 1 through 3 from left to right. To the right of that is a 3-card spread in a single vertical line, numbered 1 through three from top to bottom. In the lower left, there is a 3-card spread in the shape of a triangle. #1 is the top of the triangle. #2 is the lower left corner of the triangle. #3 is the lower right corner of the triangle.

3-Card Spreads

Because the Compass Spread has three extra cards added, we thought we’d share some three-card spreads.  They can be laid on the table vertically, horizontally, or in a triangular shape—both up-right or inverted.  It’s your choice.

These types of spreads are good for practicing and/or for a quick reading. There are many more three-card spreads. And don’t be shy about creating one for yourself.
