The Question:

I have been a caregiver for over a decade. And they say that if you do something for a thousand hours, you’ll become proficient. Well, I did my thousand hours and then some.

Now the person that I cared for is gone, and has been for over a year. I just don’t remember how to be ME anymore. Everything I wanted I put on the backburner.) Now the whole stove is mine, but I feel I’ve forgotten what I like, or even how to cook.  All metaphorically of course,

So my question is: How do I recover my purpose and my sense of self?

The Question:

My part-time job that I took to help make ends meet feels like it’s taking up all my spare time, while still only giving me a part-time paycheck. I love my job, but I feel like I spend more time dealing with my current job than I did when I worked full-time. Should I be looking for a new job?

The Question:

I’m writing a serial. The first episode introduced the characters and situation: they’ve been kidnapped so that they can take part in a dangerous race, where if they lose, they’ll never get home. But because of back-end Reasons, the race can’t happen until episode 3. Any ideas what I can put in Episode Two that will keep folks on the edge of their seats until then?

The Question:

I have just celebrated the 2nd anniversary of my divorce, and I’m currently looking at retiring. My children are grown,  married, and have their own children and their own lives. 
Once I sell my house, I can move anywhere, if I want. I would like to know if I should look for a new place in my current town or go further afield.”

The Question:

I have a cousin, who my mom dotes on. This cousin always has a sob story about how everything is going wrong for her, but only spends time with our family when she needs money. And she is completely taking advantage of my mom’s kindness and generosity. It’s my mom’s money, of course, and she can do whatever she wants with it. I’m worried that what she wants will lead to my cousin spending all of my mom’s hard-earned retirement fund, and that my mom will have nothing left in the last years of her life.

Do the cards have any insight on what I can do on my end to protect my mom from being taken advantage of?
