Episode 009 – Kobayashi Maru
The Question:
My estranged and exceptionally abusive father died recently leaving no will. Per the laws of the state he lived in, all three of his children equally own everything our father had.
So my brother is asking my sister and I to give up our claim to the house (main asset in the estate) for free, with absolutely no financial benefit whatsoever for us. Obviously that cannot be said for him as the land value alone is worth something.
So, my question is: Should I walk away and let him have the house for free? Or should I fight for my rights for my claim of the house?

Episode 005 – Spun Out
The Question:
My company is in the process of spinning off from its parent corporation. This is a time of great uncertainty among the ranks. But I work fully remotely, and this kind of work really isn’t done where I live now, so finding a new job that pays anything close to what I’m earning now is extremely challenging. Do I ride out the spin off and hope for the best, or do I bite the bullet and try to find something else – knowing that it will be long, arduous, and likely represent a pay cut?
